Use Canva's AI to Create Fitness Social Media Graphics

What This Does

Canva's built-in Magic Write AI can generate captions, tip text, and copy for your fitness graphics — while AI-powered design suggestions and fitness templates handle the visual work. The result: professional social media posts without design skills or a graphic designer.

Before You Start

• You have a free Canva account at canva.com (free version works)
• You're logged in to Canva on desktop or the Canva app

Steps

1. Start a new design from a fitness template

1. Log in at canva.com
2. In the search bar, type "fitness Instagram post" or "workout tip social media"
3. Browse the template gallery and click any template you like — you'll customize it fully

What you should see: A template editor with your chosen design loaded.

2. Replace the template text with your own

Click on the text element you want to change. Delete the placeholder text.

3. Use Magic Write to generate your text

1. While your text box is selected, look for the purple Magic Write icon in the toolbar (it looks like a sparkle/star)
2. Click it — a small prompt box opens
3. Type what you want: "Write a fitness tip about the importance of sleep for muscle recovery. Keep it under 20 words for a graphic. Energetic tone."
4. Click Generate — Magic Write inserts the text directly

4. Repeat for any caption text or description blocks

Use Magic Write on each text element that needs copy. Mix and match template elements, photos, and AI-written text.

5. Download and post

Click Download (top right) → choose PNG for social media quality → post to Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook.

Scenario: You filmed a short video of yourself demonstrating a goblet squat. You want to post it with a tip graphic as the cover image.

What you do: Search Canva for "workout tip Instagram" → select a clean template → click the headline text → use Magic Write: "Write a punchy 8-word tip about goblet squats for beginners" → download → post alongside your video.

What you get: A professional tip card that looks like it was made by a graphic designer — ready in 5 minutes.

• Canva's free tier has plenty of templates; Pro unlocks more AI features and a background remover tool
• Create a consistent "brand kit" in Canva with your colors and fonts — then all your posts match automatically
